Take a mountain bike ride in the 47,000 acres of the Brule Forrest, on trails miles long with all the adventure you would expect from the great outdoors. The terrain can go from casual to exciting in minutes, so don't forget your safety gear.

For you avid hunters we have the game of the season, White tail deer, bear, ducks, geese, wild turkey, pheasant, and grouse. Please be sure you ask for the hunting regulations in the your areas. We also have the Mentor Hunting program for children 10- 15 years old, a weekend is set aside before season starts to teach them in a classroom and on hands training in the field with their licensed mentor (an adult 18 years or older with a permit or license) with instructions from our experts to show them the safest and proper way to handle themselves for their first time hunting. Only one mentor can accompany one young hunter, so if there are two or more you wish to have in this program, you need to have a mentor for each one. Again be sure to contact our Dept of Natural Resources (DNR) to ensure you have all the necessary permits and licenses to hunt, fish and trap in on the Brule of Wisconsin. Yes, I said trapping, for those of you who like trapping instead of a gun or bow and arrow, there are designated also areas for you. You can set your body gripping, dry set, water set, or snare in the designated areas to catch alist of wildlife including bobcat, red and gray fox, mink, muskrat, beaver,otter, and many others. Some of the trapping areas are to relocate over populated areas or pesky animals that are becoming a nucense in the area with vegetation etc. Again please contact the state of Wisconsin to find out the rules and permits that apply. And don't forget your orange cover for the season.
You ready for the colder season of the Brule, cross country skiing, down hill skiing, snowmobiling, or a good old fashion snowball fight. Many Ski Teams use the Brule to practice for downhill, cross country and skate style skiing. There is 700 miles of groomed trails for the workout you'll need, to be fit for that important race. Or you can explore the not so groomed trails to venture out and just explore the hillsides. And be sure to join in the Candlelight Ski Nights all season long. Just a reminder, to get your trail passes for all skiers over 16. Snowmobiling is a fun hobby for any age, over 200,000 registered snowmobile will hit the 25,000 miles of trails every winter. It's just a fun and beautiful way to see the hillsides covered with the beauty of winter, in the day or night. Being in the Brule in the winter can be the most beautiful place you could imagine, for the season.
